It's one of life time experience like what adventurous climbers do, jungle trek, rock climb to the peak that takes you to see the spectacular pinnacle formations rising from the top of the 300m limestone/granite outcrop Bukit Takun. Series of razor-sharp limestone spikes that tower above the surrounding vegetation made its the hidden gems for non climbers and surrounded by dense jungle home to many wildlife like wild boar,gibbon,squirrel and many more.
So now you can witness the beauty,uniqueness of the hidden pinnacle formations without any rock climbing skills. It starts with the easy rock climbing up the 10m height of rocks to the ledge then from here we scramble over the rocks, slope and ledges that lead us up to the top of the crag at about 50m above the ground. Here we do one of the remarkable adrenaline rush short scramble over the sharp pinnacle rocks to the view point that overlooking the pinnacles for photo and short break for snacks before descend. the descend by abseiling down using the rope which is the most unforgettable thrilling part of the trip. an unique place to enjoy the natures and true adventures. Must do destination in Kuala Lumpur for adventure seeker and adrenaline junkies.

Itinerary
08:00 - Meetup, registration and start the jungle hikes
08:45 - at the base, safety setup,briefing,gear up and start climbing
12:00 - Start descend to the base, then trek back down to the car park
13:00 - optional drop off at Batu Caves temple for tourist
Difficulty & prerequisite
Rating 3 of 5, minimum age of 12, No climbing experience needed, suitable for adventure seeker and adrenaline junkies with decent fitness to trek/hike in the wilderness and having good flexibility of body movement for climbing on vertical rocks. Safety climbing equipment will be used for safety during ascend and descend. For safety harness fitting require waist size smaller than 115cm.
Meetup Location Instruction
The easiest way get to meetup point is take a GRAB car (like UBER e-hailing service) to destination 'MIR Adventures Takun Climbing' and our guide will meet you there at 8am. it's about 40mins drive away from city center. please don't take taxi as the climbing site is not well known touristy spot.
What to bring and wear
- Weather is humid and hot on sunny day, plenty of water recommended 1.5L
- Sporty wear, recommended long sleeve dry fit and pant for insect bites protection
- Comfortable trekking shoe with good grips on the rough terrains (rocks and soil)
- Insect repellent
- Snacks, energy foods, choc,banana etc.
- Personal medicines for a day
- keep your fingers and toes nail short, you need step and grip on tiny holds.
- keep your luxury ring and jewelry at home, at your own risk if you want to show off
- wash room is available at meetup point, you can bring another set of dry cloths in case you want to clean up and change
- Small backpack to carry supplies during the climbs ( mainly water and snacks )

Had the fortunate opportunity to climb the Batu Caves with Eddie. Had an absolute blast doing it. He's very personable and knowledgeable about climbing, and his passion for the outdoors is infectious. Great activity for all skill levels and a fantastic way to see the beauty of the Caves firsthand (pun, yeah!?). Highly recommend!!

Had such a great time climbing with Eddie in January. He's professional and patient, the gear was in great condition, and he made me and my boyfriend both feel safe while having fun. If you're in KL for a holiday or just stopping by for a day or two - rock climbing at the Batu Caves is a must-do!

Great climbing experience! My boyfriend and I usually climb indoor, this was our first climbing try outdoor on the wall. Eddie and his colleague were great. Very helpful, patient and professional. The equipment was in very good condition, so we felt safe all the time. If you stay in KL and like outdoor activities, climbing with Eddie is a great chance to do something special besides the normal sightseeing stuff. We had lots of fun and definitely come back.
